A creative force in the comic book world, Luke Stokes possesses a deep passion for storytelling that transcends genres, particularly in the realms of dark fantasy and supernatural horror. With a background in music and writing, Luke has a unique ability to blend narrative and emotion, infusing depth into every project he undertakes. He gained recognition for releasing the soundtrack to James O’Barr’s The Crow Comic Book under his label, Deezal Records. Luke’s love for dark fantasy makes him the ideal writer to craft the haunting tale of Aruku Akumu. For over 25 years, he has co-hosted the Chicago-based radio program Abstract Science and has worked for Martin Atkins’ Invisible Records and John Hughes III’s Hefty Records. Additionally, he has toured extensively with numerous live acts, including Pigface, Fuck Buttons, Chris Connelly, Damien Rice, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, Jaga Jazzist, Sheep on Drugs, and more.
